Bully and Manhunt Get Surprise PS4 Releases
Rockstar classics available now with 1080p with Trophy support.
Bully (download here) and Manhunt (download here) can both be purchased for £11.99/€14.99. They are currently only available in Europe, but could show up in North America through the next scheduled PlayStation Store update.
Originally released in 2006, Bully casts players as Jimmy Hopkins, a teenage miscreant that has been dumped by parents at Bullworth Academy, a school ruled by cliques and corrupt teachers. Jimmy must overcome the trials and tribulations of high school to rise to the top of the food chain.
In GameSpot's review of Bully, Jeff Gerstmann gave the game an 8/10, saying its "unique setting and quality gameplay make for an exciting and memorable action adventure."
Manhunt, meanwhile, was released in 2003 and in the years following, was the subject of much controversy. The Rockstar North-developed title mixed the psychological thriller genre with stealth action and horror.
Players take on the role of James Earl Cash, a death row prisoner who finds himself as the subject snuff film. He is promised his freedom, but under the condition that he is able to survive a city full of brutal gang members out to get him.
"Manhunt is an audacious game that backs up its extremely violent subject matter with solid stealth action gameplay," said Greg Kasavin in GameSpot's Manhunt review.
"Obviously, Manhunt isn't for the faint of heart. Like it or not, the game pushes the envelope of video game violence and shows you countless scenes of wholly uncensored, heavily stylized carnage."
