Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment developer People Can Fly is developing a AAA shooter alongside a smaller project, studio boss Sebastian Wojceichowski has revealed.

"We've been working on it since the beginning of the year," he said, speaking in an interview with Game Pressure. "Before that, we were polishing the concept."

Wojcelchowski noted that, although the project is early in the early development stage, it has a publisher lined up and "the mere fact of acquiring a publisher at such an early stage is a testament to our vast experience."

People Can Fly will release more information on the AAA title next year, but didn't provide a specific window for the announcement beyond that. Its indie game, meanwhile, seems more certain for a 2016 reveal.

In June 2015, People Can Fly regained its independence from Epic Games. As part of the deal it maintained ownership of the Bulletstorm IP, which it developed for EA as part of Epic Games.

It is also "actively contributing to Unreal Engine 4 and Epic's upcoming game, Fornite." Unreal Engine is being used to develop its "entirely new unannounced game."
