The Denver Broncos will win Super Bowl 48 this weekend by defeating the Seattle Seahawks 31-28 in a overtime thriller, according to a virtual simulation of the game using Madden NFL 25, EA Sports announced today. Broncos kicker Matt Prater drills a 48-yard field goal to seal the victory.

The game was played on Xbox One using the latest roster updates. A video replay of the match-up can be seen below.

Before you shrug your shoulders or roll your eyes, remember that EA Sports' annual Madden Super Bowl simulation has accurately predicted 8 of the last 10 Lombardi Trophy winners.

According to the Super Bowl simulation, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning not only wins his second Super Bowl ring, but is named MVP of the big game on the back of a 322-yard, three touchdown performance.

The real Super Bowl 48, the one that actually counts, takes place Sunday, February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game starts at 6:30 EDT on FOX.

That could explain it : The Broncos saw this and figured "in da bag". I will say this game would been better to watch, reality was a joke. No computer can predict the first snap of the game going out the the end zone

Should be a great game... Top offense vs top defense. Couldn't really ask for a much better turnout.

The tough thing about the Madden sim trying to pick this year's game, is that the Seattle Seahawks are such an unknown quantity of players, so the game probably doesn't recognize the caliber of their defense. Saying that, if they don't shut down Manning Seattle could be in for a *very* long day.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Yeah, well Richard Sherman is pretty much a household name now. I knew who he was back in his Stanford days, which makes me scratch my head at people calling him a thug. He graduated from freaking Stanford. Which also makes me scratch my head a little at him for being such a trash talker. Stanford guys don't do that. But it is entertaining.

Didn't need a sim to figure this one out. Only way Broncos going to lose is if they royally screw up or some unexpected event happens.

@Blue-SkyThe only way the Broncos don't unexpectedly win is if they unexpectedly lose. Brilliant conclusion.

If it was programmed by anyone but EA I might put some stock in it.

My experience with Madden is that the "simulation" changes towards the end so that it is always a close game. I remember games where I was up like 44-0 near the end and all of the sudden just about every play I ran was a turnover and every AI play was a big gain or score. Granted I haven't played it since like 2005.

You know years ago I put more stock in this, but just judging from EAs recent quality I dont think its that accurate anymore. I personally think the seahawks are going to win though and the broncos will look worse then normal because that is what a good defense always does.

BS The seahawks defense is gonna make manning choke and sherman and thomas are gonna be knocking down passes all day the hawks only weakness in the forty-niner game was capernick running the ball which is something manning would never risk himself doing and we got percey harvey to help out our offensive.

GO SEAHAWKS

Andrew Luck had no problem throwing against them. Just saying. T.y. Hilton schooled Sherman as well. All im saying is don't is manning always makes the best defenses look bad.even more so when they run collage schemes. It's going to be a good first half. Go BroBroncosncG

Pshyeah...lol. That's about the only type of situation where they win, also. Those Seahawk DB's are just WAY TOO FAST for Denver's receivers/ends. I don't have a dog in this race, just telling it like it is from someone who watches WAY TOO MUCH sports...

Seems people don't really read articles. It was correct 8/10 times. That imo is pretty impressive.

I'm confused where people think the Seahawks have this amazing offense. Sure, they poured it on the sucky teams, but that's about it. The Broncos have a decent defense as well. They just give up a lot more points because they're on the field more (because they score so much.)

Also, they lost to the Colts as well. They also lost to the Cardinals. This should be a good game, and here are my game decision factors.

It's cold. Manning hates the cold. Seattle has Beast Mode. The #1 defense has won 3 out of 4 times when facing against the #1 offense in the super bowl.

BUT, it's Manning. He's ready to retire. He wants this win so he can quit before his neck falls off. BRONCOS WIN 31-27, but not in overtime. But by riding Manning's back down the field with less than 2 minutes to go!

<< LINK REMOVED >> The seahawks offense is their only weakness. Its not as amazing as the defense, but it still gets the job done. Also their quarterback gets me worried sometimes and he is a liability compared to manning.

Actually, most people or 'analysts' have the Seahawks winning (as of now). The Seahawks and the Broncos were both the #1 seeds entering the playoffs so there really isn't an underdog in this game. Either way, it should be a good one assuming the lights don't go out. I'm choosing Denver to win.

<< LINK REMOVED >>The opening line was a "pick 'em". Denver is now favored. That means the betting public is picking Denver a majority of the time. That makes Seattle the underdog.
