Revolution Software and publisher THQ have today released the first screenshots from the previously unannounced Xbox version of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon. No press release has been issued pertaining to the game, but THQ--which is publishing the game in Europe--has it scheduled for European release alongside the PC and PlayStation 2 versions in October.

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is the third game in Charles Cecil's popular adventure series, and it sees the welcome return of the series' central characters, George and Nico. This time around their quest to save humankind from a global catastrophe will have them visiting such exotic locations as the jungles of Congo, the backstreets of Paris, eerie castles in Prague, and the historic English village of Glastonbury. The Sleeping Dragon is the first game in the series to be realized in 3D, and although the point-and-click gameplay of old will be replaced by a more conventional control system, fans of the series will find plenty that's familiar in the game.
