Brie Larson Joins Fast And Furious 10 Cast
Fast & Furious 10 is expected to release in May 2023.
Brie Larson (Captain Marvel, Room) is officially going to become a part of the Fast & Furious universe. Vin Diesel confirmed that Larson joined the cast of Fast & Furious 10 on Instagram, with a photo of the two grinning ear-to-ear.
"You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology," writes Diesel. "Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the family Brie."
excited doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel about joining the Fast family 🤝🚘 thank you for welcoming me in with so much kindness and excitement, @vindiesel.— Brie Larson (@brielarson) April 10, 2022

Larson joins Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) as among Fast & Furious franchise newcomers in the new entry. Fast & Furious 10, directed by Justin Lin, began filming in January 2022 according to Diesel himself, and it's even possible that Fast 10 and 11 will be filmed back-to-back. Fast & Furious 10 is expected to release in May 2023. The latest film, F9, made $726 million during the pandemic.
In addition to Diesel, most of the rest of the cast is expected back, including Diesel himself, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Sung Kang are all set to return, but John Cena hasn't confirmed his return yet.
As has been widely reported, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will not be returning to the franchise. Johnson says there is "no chance" that he will return and that he prefers to end his run with the series with "gratitude and grace." Diesel and Johnson had a public falling out over alleged unprofessional behavior, though Johnson said said in an October interview that their feud had recently ended. In November, Diesel was still appealing to Johnson--on Instagram--to return to the franchise.
