More new images from the set of the upcoming Borderlands movie have given us our first look at several characters, including Kevin Hart's Roland, Jack Black's Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt's Tiny Tina, Florian "Big Nasty" Munteanu's Krieg, and Jamie Lee Curtis's Dr. Patricia Tannis. The photos arrived in tweets from Curtis herself, as well as Borderlands creator Randy Pitchford. They follow one teaser image that Curtis posted earlier in the week, showing Cate Blanchett as Lilith.

The images, which were mostly taken by Curtis, show the characters silhouetted in shadow, standing on a nondescript staircase presumably from the film's set. Check them out below.

Obviously, these don't reveal much about the characters' final looks in the film, although they work great as a teaser to whet our appetites for more. The image of Curtis as Tannis is accompanied by the most information, as the actress wrote that her character is viewed as "INSANE (LY) SMART emphasis on the first part" and "'just friends' with EchoNet who is a #cheater," a reference to the games that fans will instantly recognize.

The Borderlands movie is being directed by Eli Roth and written by Aaron Berg and Craig Mazin. Recently, Pitchford wrote on Twitter that the Borderlands film exists in a parallel "Borderlands Cinematic Universe," making it separate from the story of the games. Whether that means they're planning a whole universe of movies should the first go prove a success is anyone's guess.

The Borderlands movie is expected out in 2022.
