Borderlands 2 getting Game of the Year Edition - Report

It's probably cheaper to buy all the DLC on xbox live, and a used game copy from amazon.com. It may require more hardrive space, but it's totally worth it. Game makers have become pretty money hungry it seems, especially Gearbox. But, nonetheless I absolutely love BL2 regardless of gearbox's nickle and dime game business.

Where are all the naysayers on here, that have been saying they werent going to release a GOTY for Borderlands 2? what say you now??

And this is why you don't buy games when they initially come out in this day and age (unless you really like the franchise and are willing to pay more). If you want the complete package without paying through the nose you have to wait for the game of the year edition.

i really hope i don't have to wait for borderlands 2 goty ultimate edition, if they don't include the upcoming dlc's and stuff to this goty :/

**** i just bought mine recently, guess i'll just sell it and buy the GoTY edition since i really enjoyed it and i wanna hop into some DLC :P.

I was holding out on BL2 for this, now I just have to wait a little longer to get it for 19-29$.

Allright!!! I actually was tempted by GOTY by not buying this game over the last year...so maybe i'll buy it then.

That would be pretty lame- releasing a GOTY which is incomplete, and you need to purchase additional content.

No one should hold their breath on a version that will ever include UVHM2 or the three head hunter packs they are coming out with. I bet this game of the year edition will still be more expensive than some of the digital sales that Amazon and Steam have had for PC for BL2 and the season pass.
I have 250 hours and counting on this game, so it was money well worth spent.

this game is dead , they can keep it with any future dlc,
it was fun while it lasted but BL1 was the better game imo

With the way Gearbox has been going, should we expect a Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition 2 in another year?

I smelled GOTYE from a mile away... even after they announced a "season 2" of DLC

Awesome game and still playing it.

I paid £20 for BL2 including the season pass, still happy with the purchase and definitely got much more than my money's worth.

GOTY edition without all the DLCs wouldn't be GOTY...

This is why I wait for the games when they toss DLC every month.

I have had the original Borderlands GOTY for a while now and I just haven't got around to playing it, I steel own a huge X360 back catalogue to go through anyhow I will be getting this too and pile up my "steel to play games"

It is beyond me how can Borderland series appeal to so many people. Played both of them for couple of days - they're incredibly boring. The second one was a bit better, but still that infinite fucking respawn still was a total buzzkill.

So... Are these still digital codes like it's predecessor or do the installers come with the bundle like Dragon Age?

Did anyone also see another hardcopy bundle of Borderlands DLCs after the Mechromancer one?

I hope this GOTY edition is also the one intended for release on PSV or else Gearbox has a riot on their hands! I'll be organizing lool jk, but seriously, hope they don't try and cheat the Vita players.

If they really release a "unfinished" GOTY, let's just hope this doesn't become a new trend in the gaming industry.

I just bought most of the DLC's.. Dammit.
