Majesco has today announced that the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube versions of BloodRayne have shipped to retail stores, a full two weeks earlier than was originally scheduled. The game sees players assuming the role of Agent BloodRayne, a female half-vampire secret agent charged with eliminating an occult faction of Nazis in the 1930s.

Developed by Terminal Reality, the game features 40 levels set across Argentina, Germany, and Louisiana--each inhabited by numerous unholy enemies including mutants, swamp creatures, bloodsucking beasts, and ancient parasitic monsters. Fortunately for players, Agent BloodRayne is well equipped to deal with such enemies, and after dispatching them with all manner of acrobatic moves and weapons, she can actually suck their blood to regain health.

BloodRayne is available in stores now for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. We'll be posting a full review soon. The PC version is scheduled for next spring. In the meantime, for more information, check out our previous coverage of the PS2 , PS2 , PS2 , and PS2 versions of the game.
