GameSpot has learned that the first entirely computer-generated anime, Blood: The Last Vampire, will be translated into a video game for the Sony PlayStation 2. The anime and the game is being created by Production IG, the company responsible for such popular works as Ghost in the Shell, Yarudora, and Jin-Roh. The company told us that it expects to release the game for the PS2 in Japan this December.

The anime follows the beautiful and mysterious Saya, who must seek and destroy vampires hidden within an American military base in Japan, on the eve of the Vietnam War. She must use her katana and skill to hunt down the elusive vampires.

GameSpot will continue to follow this story and will bring you specific details as they develop.
