Blizzard have today revealed that the WCS Global Finals will once again take place at BlizzCon this year. Alongside StarCraft 2 we will also see HearthStone, represented in the shape of a truly global world championship.

On the SC2 side of things, we will see WCS' first ever grand champion Kim 'sOs' Yoo Jin returning to Anaheim in hopes of defending his title, and like last year, 15 other players will be joining him at the event. Likewise, 16 players will be fighting for the chance to become the first official Hearthstone world champion. The players will be able to qualify through a regional qualification tournament, where the 16 highest ranked players on each region's individual ladder throughout the months of April-August will be placed in the qualification tournament, where 4 players will eventually end up representing their region.

Alongside the ranked ladder, community-run weekly events will also be made elligible to qualify for the regional qualifier.
