Blizzard's development team for addictive collectible card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft aren't looking into making a console version of the game right now, but continued interest from the community might change that in the future.

"The idea of getting it onto console has come up from players," said production director Jason Chayes in an interview with Eurogamer. "It's not something we're actually looking at right now. We feel like we have our hands full in the short term with getting onto Android as soon as we can, which is kind of one of the big priorities we're looking at right now."

Hearthstone has seen a new lease of life since the release of the iPad version of the game, which was recently launched worldwide. Alongside the Android version, Blizzard is also working on its first expansion pack, Curse of Naxxramas.

But what if PS4 and Xbox One owners keep crying out for Hearthstone on their consoles? "What we've said in the past," added Chayes, "and this will continue to be the case, is that we want to be able to hear back from our community and our players what they're really interested in, what they're very passionate about."

"If getting Hearthstone onto console is something there's a huge interest in, then we'd love to hear about that so it's something we can be thinking about."
