With Overwatch just a month away, Blizzard continues to flesh out its characters' backgrounds. In addition to the animated shorts it's already put out, the developer today released a short digital comic centered around another member of the Overwatch cast.

Train Hopper, as the comic is called, features the gunslinger Jesse McCree. He's a vigilante who goes for a ride on a train (a hypertain, because it's the future, you see) in an attempt to lay low but ends up finding himself in trouble.

The comic was written by Blizzard's Robert Brooks, and it's a quick read at just 10 pages. You can see the full thing on Overwatch's website.

More comic shorts are on the way featuring other Overwatch characters, including Roadhog, Junkrat, and Reinhardt. Blizzard previously announced plans for at least one six-issue series in addition to a graphic novel called Overwatch: First Strike that's coming later this year.

Overwatch officially launches for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on May 24. An open beta is set to kick off in early May. You can learn more about the game in GameSpot's upcoming three-part series.
