CDV Software today rolled out the single-player demo of its upcoming real-time strategy game set during World War II. PC gamers can now enlist for the free sampling over at GameSpot DLX and download the 273MB file. The demo features three missions from some of the campaigns in the game: Swift Justice from the German campaign, Rail Wars from the US campaign, and Two Stalingrad Strongholds from the Russian campaign.

In Blitzkrieg II, gamers will control armies as they fight for dominance during one of history's most infamous wars. Generals will be able to guide approximately 250 different types of units in a fully 3D and nearly fully destructible environment.

Blitzkrieg II is currently in development by Nival Interactive, and is scheduled for release on September 26. The game is rated T for Teen and will retail for $39.99. For more information, do a little recon with GameSpot's latest preview.
