Blair Witch Details

Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr is the first of three upcoming games based on the Blair Witch legend and horror movie. The third-person action-adventure game uses a modified version of Terminal Reality's Nocturne game engine. The developers attempted to give the game the same suspenseful cinematography that made the movie successful. Players assume the role of Elspeth "Doc" Holiday, an investigative scientist previously seen in 1999's Nocturne. Holiday has arrived in Burkittsville, Md., to investigate the legend of the Blair Witch. The game is set in a dark, eerie environment and features variable difficulty and control settings, interactive dialog, and 3D animated characters.

Blair Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr is scheduled for release on September 20. The next games in the Blair Witch series are Blair Witch Volume 2: The Legend of Coffin Rock, which is scheduled for release in October, and Blair Witch Volume 3: The Elly Kedward Tale, which will be released in November.
