Bill And Ted Face The Music: How To Watch The Movie From Your Couch
Buddy comedy Bill & Ted Face the Music lands on streaming services next week, and you can pre-order your digital rental right now.
The COVID-19 pandemic threw a gigantic wrench into the movie industry this year. Many movies were pushed back until the fall or 2021, but a few are getting digital releases. One of the higher-profile flicks you'll be able to stream from your couch is Bill and Ted: Face the Music, which arrives on Friday, August 28 on digital release and in select theaters.. And the movie is available to purchase now on at FandangoNow, Amazon Prime Video, and Vudu.
If you plan on watching Bill & Ted Face the Music at release, you'll want to order from FandangoNow. Not only is FandangoNow charging $5 less than other retailers, but you can also get a nice bonus for ordering early. FandangoNow is running a promotion that gets you 50% off a rental or purchase of more than 100 other movies with popular duos, including the first two Bill & Ted movies, Superbad, Hot Fuzz, Booksmart, and animated pictures such as Toy Story 4 and Up. The promo code will be delivered to your email after you pre-order, and you'll have to use it by September 11.
FandangoNow's pre-orders for any format--including 4K UHD--are $20, while Amazon Prime Video and Vudu are charging $25, which is quite pricey for a digital rental. Pre-ordering at FandangoNow will net you some bonus content, including a behind-the-scenes video, a discussion of the origins of the franchise, and Death showing off his house. Bill & Ted Face the Music isn't available to purchase just yet, as it's being treated like a theatrical release at home, much like Trolls World Tour, The King of Staten Island, and Mulan. You'll have 30 days to start watching your rental, but once you start, your rental expires in 48 hours.

For those in the UK, Bill & Ted Face the Music will receive a theatrical release on September 23. With the coronavirus pandemic still presenting serious issues in the US, movie releases have yet to seriously return--with the exception of Chistopher Nolan's Tenet, which apparently needs a theatrical release for some reason. While some theaters are open in the US, they have largely been showing older movies to try to get people back in theaters.
Bill & Ted Face the Music skipping a theatrical release altogether means that you can watch Keanu Reeves' and Alex Winter's new and almost assuredly wacky mission from the comfort of your own couch.
