Big Boss, Raiden appear as Kojima/Konami teaser resets

do you all remember that in Metal Gear 2 Big boss and Gray fox worked together? maybe the new Kojima game will be Metal gear remake! because the "Raiden" in the site reminds me of gray fox...

all i can say is im super hyped to find out if my theory that raiden is a clone of grey fox is right, and the image isnt actually a real character but a teaser image hinting at story development. if i happen to be right [though i dont think i am cause kojima is the king at making your ideas completely wrong] i would be sooooooo happy with myself. LOL. only a couple more days.

@berkice.. you know, that idea that the eye patch is solid snakes bandana is actually pretty cool, it sorta looks like it.

this is going to sound stupid but here's what i think this means... maybe raiden will go back in time somehow and try to do... something... about big boss before outer heaven is completed? yeah that sounds stupid but its an idea...

for those out there that think those letters on the teaser site spell something, think again... i watched it for over half an hour yesterday and I saw no pattern whatsoever.. that doesn't mean they mean nothing, im just saying what ever it means, it's not in english or any other language for that matter.. it's just random characters. Any MG fans out there, youtube "bigdog".... Metal Gear lives!!!.. trust me you'll be glad you did.

Personally, I don't think the Mask is in importance with Metal Gear... Perhaps it is for a new game. I looked at the source code for that page and it did not say anything about Metal Gear (Or at least what I read)

on the mask teaser website there seems to be some kind of symbol behind the mask. idk what it is but if u look close when the mask fades out a little, u see something behind it...

@InvalidName13 It's for different Konami game. I'm not sure what it's suppose to represent but Argent-de-C said in his post it's for Lords of Shadows which is another game coming out in 2010

@ Craigy--IRE Well you forgot the F that shows up. My guess would be that it spells out "E X C L U S I V e F O R P S 3". Because then that would explain the two E's (one capitalized and one lower-cased) >_>;; Or maybe I'm just over-thinking. FYI I own a X360, so I'm not a Sony Boy. XD

yo, what does the face popping up in front of the Kojima logo mean? on the bottom right of the page, a bright face appears over the kojima logo if u pay attention, click on it and it takes you to some site with that same face but bigger and with wierd background music. Anyone know what that symbol or face means?

I thought about what some of the other people said about the ninja being sunny due to the eye color. I didn't think it could be possible. But after examing the picture again I couldn't help but start to believe that maybe it could be a woman. I got the idea of it being Olga though. idk.

Thats what people have deduced from it saying military without borders (translated anyway), so yeah, i too think its an outer heaven logo, and geographically shows an area around vietnam too...

I went to the teaser site just now & forgive me if im wrong, but isnt that the outer heaven logo on his beret?

I dont even know if the mask has anything to do with the MGS stuff, perhaps its a completley unrelated release also to be announced at E3, however, even though it looks feminine, the lip area resembles the raiden/lookalike in the NEXT site...but i cant see its significance, and the other mask certainly doesnt look anything MGS related, maybe its got nothing to do with it?

Wow people really hated my comment 3 thumbs down. Ok fine it will be 6 discs for MGS. Good point earlier on how Hideo is stuck with MGS forever. I really think if they port it will not look as good. MGS 5 would be Sweet.

I know it's already been said.. but maybe the letters are hinting at multiplatform. So far, we have seen the letters and numbers: 5 or S, E, 3, 6, C, 0 (or maybe O?), P, R, e. (Don't think i missed any) Now, assuming we can use letters more than once, these letters could be rearranged into: 5 E3 PS3 360 PC PSP I know it sounds pretty ridiculous to think that a new MG game would come out on all those different platforms, but who knows? Anyway, this of course leaves the letters R and e... Maybe the R is in fact for Raiden after all? Or maybe not.. only time will tell. That is if Kojima doesn't drive us to insanity beforehand. (Sorry if i've made any stupid mistakes with my analysis up there) Also... i swear the mask is even more broken now? Or is it just me?

@cyclonebw hmmmm yeh i only noticed it today, i've had a closer look at it and i've noticed that there are actually two faces, one masculane one when u first open up the site then a more feminine mask that fades over the top of it

@cyclonebw what do you mean exactly, which page are we talking about? the Mask one or the NEXT one, and you said "ur face"...im a bit confused, sorry...

Could in any way the 'Big Boss' character actually be Solid Snake? I know it sounds a bit sooopid but it would help the theory of it being pre MGS4. However I can't explain why he'd be wearing an eye patch, unless it's all part of the interim plot that we don't know about. I also agree that Raiden's suit could've changed over time. I still would rather it be Gray Fox than Raiden though I have to say, I do like Raiden but I think exploring Fox's character would be more interesting...

Well they did say there could be games, i think it was a PSP and a PS3...and even if its one game theres rumours it may be a multi time-era kind of game... so big boss doesnt rule it out..also kojima never actually said its big boss (i dont see why he would hide it cos its pretty obvious its him in terms of look), i seem to remember something about another clone that was present in 1-2 and 4...

Besides it looking more advanced, he'd have to have lost that barcode at one point. That's the main thing besides the exoskeleton being too advanced. It cannot be post MGS4 because of Big Boss.

Doesnt have to be the exact same exoskeleton, it may have been changed/modified at soem point, so there is still scope for it to be Raiden post MGS2, although i would argue the one on the site looks more advanced than the MGS4 one, thats the main problem, what could there be conflict about post MGS4, whether its Raiden or Sunny, the patriots have already been taken care of...hmm...

It can't be on Raiden after Metal Gear Solid 2, unless somehow they remove a tattoo on his forehead and replace his artificial metal jaw with a artificial skin coloured jaw.

That definitely looks like Raiden. I hope they go somewhere from Metal Gear Solid 2 with Raiden. So we can find out what happened to him since he first met snake and how he got his cybernetic exoskeleton. I wouldn't worry about the next game coming out for the box. Kojima just has rumors about it for 360 owners and then in the end he'll quickly remind them that he will never commit such a hayness act. Also from what I've read so far. It just looks like the new Metal Gear game is only for the PS3 and PSP. We will know for sure though when E3 comes about on June 1st.

he also said the game is for mainly for japan but will be produced globally in that interview. n japan hates 360. that pretty much says its ps3

I really doubt that it will be for the 360 considerin in total Kojima has made 16 games for sony products!! and bout 1 for microsoft haha

yeah he a mad genius, like otacon wit a hint of Doc Brown from Back to the Future roll on the Sony Conference, since thats wen the timer ends, during that. but those 3,6, and O's scares me, even thouggh i have an 360 microsoft doesnt deserve MGS, Snake and Hideo

@Craigy-IRE its all in the eyes i do hope its grey fox/big boss set in between metal gear 2 and MGS1 or a remake of bith Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake but once i saw the scan of the raiden pic and now see it properly my gut says Sunny, ive changed a few minds about it being Sunny, mag sited even saying it now, not to be all mighty about it;)

I still think its raiden cos of the lines on the skin going up from the corner of the lip, that was were raidens jaw was destroyed or something, i remember from the final scene he had the exact same line...im worried now that its going to be something for the 360 (exclusively, if its for both i dont mind) due to the 3,6,0 appearing and the end of the countdown...

yh but if it is sunny what hsa happened to her face e.g her chin is now metal, what has happened to her eye e.g the material over her eye and thridly why does it look like the top of her head has been sliced off and put back on haha e.g the bolts in her head

ive been saying the past 3 days....its Sunny, grown up, ill stick to that, if its is,,, aren't i great..if not ill take it on the chin

@ MTMind2 you raise a good point about the countdown, I hadn't noticed that before. Although there have been times it was counting down to before and it just started up all over again, however I hope it is Xbox related as a 360 owner myself but I'm not going to get my hopes up to avoid later disappointment :)
