Beware the Ides of March

As tournament time nears, so does March Madness 98.

Comments

Gearing up for the greatest annual event in college basketball, the NCAA Tournament, EA Sports is readying the release of March Madness 98. Originally planned to release on both the PlayStation and the PC, EA Sports decided to forego the PC version.

One hundred and eight men's and nine women's Division I teams are in the game, including recreations of their home courts. Assign defensive and offensive plays to the buttons on the gamepad and call them from the action.

Watch as the momentum meter increases after a thunderous dunk or wide-open three-pointer from the home team, increasing the players' stats from the rush of the rowdy crowd. Play a single exhibition game, or start a season, complete with weekly poll rankings.

March Madness 98 is scheduled to release for the PlayStation this month.
