Comments

Bethesda Softworks is releasing PBA Tour Bowling 2001 for the Dreamcast in October 2000. The title, officially licensed by the Professional Bowlers Association boasts realistic physics, 3D graphics, and online play via the Dreamcast's 56k modem.

The title features full-motion skeletal models of 3D bowlers and players will have complete control over the ball's spin, power and aim. Furthermore, the lanes will actually degrade over time, showing signs of wear and tear. To round out the title the company is including both single and multiplayer player modes as well as the ability to create custom bowlers and balls. Custom bowlers and balls can be created. On-the-fly camera work will allow players to study their technique and the game's AI is based on actual pros from the PBA.

President of Bethesda Softworks Vlatko Andonov is excited about being a developer and publisher for the Dreamcast: "Our PBA Bowling titles have done extremely well on the PC, and our Sega Dreamcast version will be the best one yet."
