Titan Comics (Doctor Who) today announced that it will release a four-part comic book mini series for Bethesda's The Evil Within, the publisher's upcoming horror game from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

The Evil Within comic series is set before the events of the game, and its story follows a young student named Dana whose search for a missing friend leads her to a world "fraught with tension and unimaginable horrors."

The first installment in the Evil Within comic series is 32 pages long and arrives August 27 alongside the game for $4. The series is written by Ian Edginton (Scarlet Traces, Victorian Undead) with art provided by Alex Sanchez (Katana).

The Evil Within launches August 26 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. Bethesda previously partnered with fake news site The Onion for a pretty funny news story about the game's used of barbed wire. For more on The Evil Within, you can read GameSpot's previous coverage.
