Sony has rolled out its monthly list of the best-selling games on the PlayStation Store in North America for the month of June, and the top spots on the charts--at least on consoles--look a lot like they did during the previous month.

On PlayStation 4, Watch Dogs remained the best-selling game for the second month in a row. That perhaps shouldn't come as a surprise in light of the lack of major releases in June, as well as the fact that Watch Dogs released in late May. Following it were two of June's new games, EA Sports UFC and Valiant Hearts: The Great War. Transistor, the number two game in May, fell outside of the top 20, while the number three game in May, MLB 14: The Show, fell all the way to number 16. Also of note is standalone DLC Infamous: First Light, preorders for which were strong enough to make it the number 10 game.

The PlayStation 3 list again follows the pattern that has emerged in recent months: Minecraft, and then whatever is on sale. Minecraft has been the top seller on PSN every month since its release on PS3 last December, and in June things were no different. Next up were the gorgeous JRPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, both of which were available at $5 at different points during the month.

PlayStation Vita's best-selling games were all titles that were discounted at one time or another in June, including Rainbow Moon, Real Boxing, and Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (which I'm very glad to have bought for a mere $3.25). Borderlands 2, the most high-profile release on the system in some time, was down to number seven after being the number three title in May.

Dont believe these numbers, my PSN account magically purchased Watch Dogs without my authorization. Sony didn't care, even though it wasn't bought from any of my consoles. One more sale for them, and their T&Cs essentially put any fraud onto the user.

I don't care what is the best selling game on PS, but I like articles that list them.

Avatar image for insloanwetrust

It just goes to show the lack of any good AAA games. Not until Destiny and then October/November will we get any.

Since getting Ni No Kuni to play with my 3yr old daughter I Think she can say that better then any other word right now lol. Great game and great story, would be a great anime if it was ever made into one.

<< LINK REMOVED >> It certainly is a great game. Studio Ghibli does things right.

Avatar image for DarkAztaroth

@jonusb @Darkangel2154 Please, the game is made by Level 5 (makers of Dark cloud, Rogue galaxy, Professor layton and White knight chronicle) , Ghibli did animations tho.

Avatar image for jonusb

<< LINK REMOVED >> That's what I meant. The game wouldn't have been the hit it is without Ghibli's contributions.

I was really surprise by Twisted Metal that game been out for two years now and still selling

The starter deck in Millennium duels sucks compared to Decade duels. Thanks XYZ.

I'm liking the more mobile friendly gamespot right now.

I know what the reviews all say, but is Watch Dogs actually fun? I figured I would just pick it up used or discounted next summer during a release drought (or a GOTY edition with all of the DLC included). I'm still working on the AC4 campaign, Wolfenstein, and my second (evil this time) Second Son playthrough. And then there's the Destiny beta and The Last of Us (I didn't own a PS3) later this month. I don't have the time or money for all of them...

Avatar image for crizzy218

<< LINK REMOVED >> if youre choosing between the last of us and watch dogs you should definitely go for the last of us but watch dogs is still fun if you like open world games

Avatar image for gokartmozart89

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I do seem to prefer open world adventure games, which is why I've taken my sweet time with AC4 (plus I didn't have time to touch it during the school year). I'm just finding it hard to justify the purchase when I know I want to play The Last of Us, and that big games like Destiny and GTAV (which I haven't played either) are around the corner. I know that I really like GTA (and crime capers in general). I don't know if I would care for what seems like a more stealth-centric game in Watch Dogs.

Avatar image for insloanwetrust

@gokartmozart89 @crizzy218 Destiny, AC and GTA is more than enough to fill your appetitie for open world games. You don't need another one. What you need is a great SP game with a great story, characters and world. That's TLOU. It's a real big miss for you if you don't play it or choose Watch Dogs over it. Also more open world games are coming in Dragon age and The witcher. Then there is Infamous and more like Shadow of mordor etc.

How many great story based SP 10/10 GOTY games are there?

Avatar image for gokartmozart89

<< LINK REMOVED >> I do want to play First Light, Dragon Age, and the Witcher 3. But I'm probably skipping Shadow of Mordor. I read LOTR at a young age, and it doesn't sit well with me that they're playing fast and loose with the canon. It also doesn't seem that much fun outside of the nemesis system. I'm much more interested in how Diablo 3 has implemented it. Plus that has local, Gauntlet-style co-op.

Just cracked open WD two days ago. Initial impressions are good. Gameplay is fun. Tons to do. Nice progression system. Multiplayer can be pretty intense. Again just initial impressions but I see myself spending plenty of time on it.

Avatar image for insloanwetrust

<< LINK REMOVED >> I started like that then faded out and never finished it, Though I also did that with GTA V.

Avatar image for RicanV

Nice to see Outlast selling. An indie horror game that most people received for free with their PS+ subscription.

Avatar image for insloanwetrust

<< LINK REMOVED >> That's why making your game become "free" on PS plus can be a wise move. Once people play it word of mouth will get around about the game if it's good. Then those people will buy it. If there is DLC like this game has people will then buy that DLC. So PS plus giving you a game can actually be beneficial for that game. I doubt many people would have bought it as much if it were never free on PS Plus on playStation because people would not really know what it was. Now they do.

How in the hell is Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale still selling?

Avatar image for Relvar

<< LINK REMOVED >> It was $5

Avatar image for meedokicky

<< LINK REMOVED >> wow I missed that :S must have been a flash sale.

Avatar image for meedokicky

<< LINK REMOVED >> I still plan to buy it one day :P I would have been more willing to get it if it was a 1 on 1 fighting game tbh. But a friend told me it is good so idk.

Avatar image for gameroutlawzz

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> spamming pointless attacks to raise a special bar and then spamming cheap specials for kills isnt what I call a good fighting game. SSB franchise SHlTS on this failed attempt as a brawler.

Avatar image for icyembere

Guess we found the fanboy who hasn't played the game. Or at most played 10 mins and was blinded by bias

Avatar image for canuckbiker

Yeah, let's talk crap about games we've never played. If you actually did try this you'd know it has the most technical execution depth out of any brawler released yet. I don't care for these games, but bought this for next to nothing a while ago, and was surprised by how it resembled a fighter more then a brawler. Just because your precious Nintendo didn't make it doesn't mean it's bad.

Avatar image for daviz88

ground zero? really?

Avatar image for gokartmozart89

<< LINK REMOVED >> It's actually a lot of fun if you like MGS. There's quite a bit of replay value. And it was cheap.

Avatar image for Mr_Big_Boss

<< LINK REMOVED >> It was on sale for $13

Avatar image for bledsoe45sbc

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> most of the lists are based on what was on sale , but thats great more sales the better

Avatar image for nazart81

dude how could you not buy ni no kuni, it was $5 bucks when I bought it on PSN!! It's a gem.

Avatar image for gokartmozart89

<< LINK REMOVED >> As someone that didn't own a PS3, that's a game I would buy if it were re-released on PS4. It looks awesome.

Avatar image for jonusb

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> If they re-released it on the PS4, I can imagine they'd have more time to put together a memorable ending than the PS3 version. The only issue I have with the game was that the ending was somewhat disappointing. You'd hope with all that buildup that they'd have at least 10 minutes of nothing but a full blown anime video.

Avatar image for adsparky

<< LINK REMOVED >> Even at full price it is an awesome deal, at $5 is a no brainer.

Avatar image for merimack

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> yeah, I bought it for the full 60 when it came out. No regrets

Avatar image for Relvar

<< LINK REMOVED >> Maybe because $5 is a lot of money!

Avatar image for Staranime010

Avatar image for gameroutlawzz

bought PS all-star battle royale at full price back then expecting a revolutionary SSB clone and I swear this was the worst purchase Ive made in a long time..Im holding onto my copy cause the game is polished and had potential but the combat is just not fun.

Avatar image for steaminpotatoes

Go Saint's Row IV, just wish PS4 games were not a complete scam in the UK for digital purchases.

Watch Dogs is £60 WTH , isn't the US $60 ? , last time i checked it was not a 1 : 1 conversion rate.

Avatar image for Lhomity

<< LINK REMOVED >> £12 of that is VAT, the rest is made up by the higher cost of distribution and retail.

Avatar image for AzureBonds76

<< LINK REMOVED >> From what I read the UK and European Union countries get shafted when it comes to game prices. Specially the NIS games from the EU store. Watch Dogs is 59.99 $ on PSN with no tax.

Avatar image for DeeMoney19

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Try living in Australia. Games are $80-$90 here brand new.

Avatar image for sambucca

$90 AUD is about £49, so you're still getting a better deal than the UK. Think before speaking. It's really not that hard...

Avatar image for Lhomity

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Which is a fair price for Australia. GST + higher operating cost for business. Aussies are generally quite well off (though most don't realize it).

Avatar image for DeeMoney19

Trust me I know how well off we are. At least some of us anyway. It doesn't bother me all that much as that is what they have been priced at forever and a day. It's the lack of numbers in our country that contributes to the higher cost of things, companies can't buy in bulk like US companies can, but our overall average wage is a lot higher than most countries, so it all balances out in the end.

Avatar image for homelessgamer

90$ that ain't right, how is the economy in Australia?

Avatar image for DeeMoney19

Doing well.
