I would like to suggest to many gamers out there to forego headsets, and try in ear noise cancelling virtual surround 5.1 earbuds, with a 'separate' good decent mic like a yeti, bose, or seiren. I switched over a while back after seeing a friend's setup and it was the only way to go. Like many, I find any headset gets uncomfortable or hot after just a little bit. Earbuds are also great for streaming so you do not have a mic in your face or a huge headset on your head, well the pink cat ear ones are kinda cool. Great earbud set, Oomo-Surround-Bluetooth-Earphones. But even cheap earbuds -wired or wireless, work well also. And please, change tips to your ear canal size., improves them so much.

But for me who plays for hours at a time, earbuds feel like your not wearing anything, and do not wrap around you or get in the way, or weigh your head down.

I have my mic just under my monitor pointed at me, PC Microphone, SUDOTACK Professional 192kHz/24bit Studio Cardioid Condenser Mic Kit for 70$, the are worth a lot more. Much better sound as well as avoiding the background sound of headset friction on clothes or hair, etc. Try a good separate microphone, as most headset mics sounds like sham-wow or my pillow commercials late at night, no ranges .... just a loud monotonal noise.

I'll throw my support behind the HyperX Cloud II Wireless. Of course there are some superior options, but the cloud series (Wired or wireless) has some great sound and doesn't break a month after the warranty ends. Those things can endure punishment so you don't have to buy a new one constantly. Best experience with the wired models is with Squad in my opinion (Excellent sound in a game).
