Disney has announced that singers Ariana Grande and John Legend will record a new version of the song "Beauty and the Beast" for the upcoming live-action film.

In the 1991 animated original, Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson performed the duet. The song is one of the most memorable both from the movie and Disney's entire catalog.

The song "Beauty and the Beast" was written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. It won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy award.

Emma Watson, who plays Belle in the new Beauty and the Beast, also sings. You can hear her sing a snippet of the song "Belle" right here. The new movie features a mix of classic songs and three original ones. Disney will release a new soundtrack featuring all the songs on March 10.

Beauty and the Beast is directed by Bill Condon, who was behind the camera for the final two Twilight movies, as well as the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls. Disney has described the film as a "retelling" of the animated favorite, tailored for a "contemporary audience."

Luke Evans plays Gaston, alongside Josh Gad as LeFou. Kevin Kline plays Belle's father, Maurice, while the characters Lumiere (Ewan McGregor), Cogsworth (Ian McKellan), and Mrs. Potts (Emma Thompson) are also of course in the movie.

Beauty and the Beast comes out on March 17, 2017. You can watch two new teasers here.
