It doesn't take a genius to realise that there's more than a little underlying sexual innuendo in Bayonetta, and the recently announced "collector's edition" of Sega's highly anticipated action game just reinforces it. Subtly called Bayonetta: Climax Edition, this saucy premium pack available in Australia comes with a replica pistol from the game, a 36-page art book, and a CD featuring music from the game.

Bayonetta is the fruit of fabled game designer Hideki Kamiya, who was behind such hits as Devil May Cry, Okami, and Viewtiful Joe. The story takes place in a fictional European city, with the brazen Bayonetta, who is a witch packing serious firepower, trying to undercover what has happened to her memory after sleeping in a coffin under the sea for 500 years.

Bayonetta came out in Japan late last month and shot straight to the top of the Japanese game charts. It's due out in Australia on January 7.
