A new Battlefield V update launched today, and a bigger one is coming next week. Today's update is a server-side one, which means there is no download on your part.

Today's update includes a number of general stability improvements, along with changes that better ensure teams are generally even as it relates to number of players. Additionally, it fixes a problem where weapons would remain locked even when the rank requirement is met. You can see the full list of changes in the November 26 update below, as posted on Battlefield's website.

Now Playing: Battlefield V Video Review

Looking ahead, developer DICE will release a bigger update next week, on December 4, as part of the launch of Battlefield V's first Tides of War event. DICE describes Tides of War as being an "evolving journey featuring a new narrative every few months."

Each chapter will offer "unique gameplay experience" that focus on a specific aspect of World War II. There will be new and unique soldiers, visuals, and narrative elements in each chapter. The first Tides of War event is called Overture, but DICE hasn't share much about it yet, but more details should be coming soon.

GameSpot's Battlefield V review scored the game an 8/10. Editor Michael Higham wrote, "The Battlefield series has a winning formula that Battlefield V doesn't deviate far from, at least for now." You can read GameSpot's full review here.
