Battlefield 5 Update 6.0 "Into The Jungle" Is Now Live
Welcome to the jungle.
The latest update for Battlefield 5 is now live on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, marking the beginning of Chapter 6: Into the Jungle. The newest chapter adds another map, weapons and mechanics. It also introduces a new commander, with more changes to be littered throughout the season of content.
The new map is Solomon Islands, a jungle map full of choke-points connected by a massive river. The update also adds the Type-11 LMB, Model 37 Shotgun, M2 Carbine, M1A1 Bazooka, and Lunge Mine. Each of those weapons will be unlockable through Chapter Rank rewards, and if you reach Rank 40 you'll also get the Elite commander Misaki Yamashiro. Two more elites, Steve Fisher and Akira Sakamoto, will be coming later in the season. The jungle is a dangerous place, including the presence of a killer crocodile.
DICE has already teased that lots of other changes will be coming in the 6.2 update, including big changes to weapon balance. The highly requested feature tank customization is also coming soon, though we're not sure when in the season it will drop.
