Battlefield 2042 Has Penguins And A Snowman

Battlefield 2042 is out with early access, and players are making all sorts of discoveries, including the existence of penguins and a snowman easter egg.

On the frigid and snowy Breakaway map, players can find multiple families of penguins just hanging out and occasionally sliding down a hill and into the water. There are adults and little ones alike. And you can see them in the video below from JackFrags. The game also has a snowman, it appears. Have a look:

The Battlefield series is known for its animal-based easter eggs. Perhaps the most notable example is the megalodon shark from past games. As of yet, the shark has not been discovered in Battlefield 2042, it seems.

Breakaway takes place in Antarctica in and around an oil rig. "Tread carefully on this dynamic map, where oil extraction has turned the freezing area to a strategic hot spot. Take advantage of destructible fuel tanks and silos that create debris fields and permanent fires when destroyed," reads a line from the map's description.
