RTIME's Interactive Networking Engine is going to be integrated into Battlecruiser 3020AD, according to today's announcement from RTIME and 3000AD, the game's developer.

Battlecruiser 3020AD is the third installment in Derek Smart's Battlecruiser space flight simulation series, where players trade, fight and explore outer space. RTIME will be used to allow players to setup server games or join persistent worlds; up to 32 players will be able to join games in either cooperative or deathmatch mode, alone or in alliance fleets. RTIME will also enable players to communicate by voice with each other over the net.

Smart says of his company's decision, "Plans to incorporate RTIME into future titles in the series, including the upcoming first person add-on for BC:3020AD, the Battlecruiser Strike Pak, and the massive online multiplayer title, Battlecruiser Online, are already being discussed. That's how confident I am that this is the standard for multiplayer."
