Batman, Mortal Kombat Publisher Will Have "New Announcements" At DC FanDome
WB Games is prepping some sort of news to share during August's DC FanDome virtual event.
With DC scheduled to hold a free, one-day virtual event on August 22, the entertainment conglomerate confirmed that video game publisher WB Games will have some news to share on the same day.
What this news is remains a mystery, as the press release simply states that WB Games will have some "new announcements" to make during DC FanDome, a 24-hour event anyone can attend for free. The virtual event will also feature DC-related comic book, film, and TV announcements, as well as opportunities to meet some of the cast and crew behind more recent DC IPs. This includes Aquaman, The Batman, Batwoman, and many more.
In addition to the various films and TV shows making an appearance during the event, it's said that the Zack Synder cut of Justice League will also be present. DC FanDome is set to go live at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Saturday, August 22.
WB Games is the publisher of titles like Batman: Arkham Knight and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, among many others. The company's recent game, NetherRealm Studios' Mortal Kombat 11, received an extensive DLC pack last month called Aftermath that added some new character, expanded the narrative, and more.
Earlier this year, the Montreal division of WB Games yet again teased some kind of new Batman game with a cryptic message and photo. While nothing has been solidified yet, the studio did concede that it is not ready to show off it's "next big project" just yet.
