Following the success of last year's Batman: The Killing Joke, DC will release another R-rated animated movie later this month. Justice League Dark focuses on the more supernatural members of the DC Universe, who are recruited by the Justice League to fight a deadly magical foe. A new clip has arrived--check it out below:

The new team includes such characters as John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and Deadman. The movie stars Jeremy Davies, Alfred Molina, Matt Ryan, Jerry O’Connell, Jason O’Mara, and Rosario Dawson. Ryan reprises his role from the short-lived live-action TV show Constantine, while O’Connell, O’Mara, and Dawson play Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively. Check out the trailer here.

In related news, it was announced this week that Ryan would also provide the voice for a new animated Constantine series, which is set to hit the digital channel CW Seed later this year.

A movie version of Justice League Dark has been in development for some time. Last year both Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor were rumoured to be in consideration for the lead role of John Constantine. Guillermo del Toro was at one point in line to direct, and submitted a potential script to Warner in 2014.

Most recently, it was reported that Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman has been hired to helm the film. In August, Variety stated that the project was now going under the title of Dark Universe. Liman was set to direct the X-Men spinoff Gambit at Fox, but has since left that much-delayed project.

Justice League Dark hits Digital HD on January 24, with the Blu-ray and DVD following on February 7.
