@emptycow718: I find that a bit over dramatic anyone can find a perceived problem in any era of any medium but there's always plenty of good creative things. There are highs and lows sure but I don't really find it appropriate to call 2016 in games a time where there's a severe lack of creativity in games just because companies are rereleasing better versions of old games. As far as I'm concerned we're in the middle of ramping up to some of the best games in years if not decades.

That game could have been perfect with a few tweaks. Like you said they should have had real boss battles. (One thing they could have looked to Origins for reference. Seriously those fights in AO were amazing! I really felt badass while fighting Bane, Deathstroke, Firefly...) A better ending, I'm sure they could have come up with a clever way of fooling scarecrow (like using Nightwing as a decoy or any of the several ways they've done so in the show and movies)... Finally the Batmobile: Had they instead of the tank mode, put all that effort putting more gadgets and gameplay features into the regular pursuit version of the Batmobile, it could have been amazing! Imagine huge care chases where you take down a bunch of cars with real people or drones if you need to, by using all the gadgets they had on the tank (EMP, heat seeking missiles...) add a few things like dropping caltrops to destroy tires, launch a cable to drag a car like in Batman v Superman...haha.

I'm actually hoping the next game (which will be made by WB Montreal) whatever its set in, that it finally has an open world with actual NPCs, civilians and a game that takes place over more than just one god damned night! Also it would be sweet to be able to drive to and from Wayne Manor/Bat Cave plus include a few Bruce Wayne sections. Make it more in a GTA style setting where you can switch between night and day as the game progresses. Having time lapse would add a lot of versatility to the storytelling. There's a lot of relatively simple ways they can revolutionize the franchise without reinventing the wheel.

@dz99ls: Alot of people didn't play those games that now own PS4's and XB1's.

@Random_Matt: if you button mashed while playing you were doing it wrong. probably playing with the counter indicator too.

@Random_Matt: you do know there is more to these games than just hand to hand combat right? And there is more depth to the combat than simply button mashing. But if you have a better idea for implementing batman's fighting style I'd love to see it.
