Banner Saga 3 will launch on July 24 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Mac, developer Stoic has announced. In addition to revealing the release date, the studio--along with publishing partner Versus Evil--detailed the Dredge Ally Pack, which is available to those who pre-order on PC.

The pack contains a rank 10 Dredge Stoneguard character called Kivi, the unique Tank combat ability, the 'Sculptor's Tools' item, an exclusive Dredge Heraldry, a heroic tale called 'Shield Cleaver,' and an exclusive Banner Saga 3 overture track from Austin Wintory.

At launch there will be the standard edition of the game on PC for $24.99/£18.74, alongside the Deluxe version for $29.99/£22.49. The latter of the two includes the official soundtrack, digital wallpaper, world map and the Gold Wasp in-game title.

Finally, there will be the Legendary Edition, which costs $39.99/£29.99 and includes everything that comes in the Deluxe Edition, as well as the exclusive 'Shadow Walker' heroic title, the 'Petrie Clan Ring' legendary item, and digital novel titled 'Gift of Hadrborg.'

505 Games will be publishing The Banner Saga Trilogy: Bonus Edition at retail. It is set to cost $39.99/£29.99 and will include all three Banner Saga titles along with an art book, poster, best-of soundtrack, and an in-game digital item.

"Banner Saga 3 represents the feeling of closure but also immense accomplishment to a trilogy that has been at the very fabric of our lives for many years," said Stoic, discussing ending the series. "We're ever thankful to the fans and backers that have shared this epic journey with us and helped us deliver what we feel is a fitting end to our Viking adventure."

The Banner Saga is the best game series I've played in the last years. Everything about it is powerful and perfectly executed. While some big, triple-A titles may have left a good short impression, the Banner Saga left a huge impression. I still listen to its amazing soundtrack today and remember all the tension and excitement of these games. The final game in the series can't come soon enough.
