BankHeist Delayed

Look for the IcePick title before Christmas, but it'll need a publisher first.

Comments

The release date for IcePick Games' BankHeist has been moved back, from second quarter 1999 to "sometime between the Christmas selling season of this year and March of the next."

IcePick's Mark Shander says, "The main reason for the change is the level of detailing involved in the cutscenes, which are interactive and influence weapons, ammo, money, points, etc. as you jump in and out of the 3D engine to plan your heist and blow yer dough."

IcePick hasn't signed with a publisher for the game yet, which it sees as a multiplatform release.

Shander says that at this point in the game's progress, "the interface is interactive, which includes the city level with buildings and maps to click on and visit or plan your heists, many animated cutscenes, characters moving around in the engine, level creation/fine-tuning, etc." He anticipates showing a demo of the game at the next E3.
