Nintendo announced today that Banjo-Tooie, the sequel to the popular 3D platfomer Banjo-Kazooie, has shipped to retailers. Banjo-Tooie allows the bear and bird to split up and adventure separately, and it features 125 new characters, 40 abilities to master, 10 bosses, and a wealth of multiplayer modes. Banjo-Tooie retails for US$59.99.

"Banjo-Tooie is poised for great success this holiday season, thanks to its fun atmosphere and family friendly game play," said Peter Main, Nintendo's executive vice president, sales and marketing. "Banjo-Tooie creates a whole new standard of quality for 3D platform adventure games."
