Revolution Software has announced that its upcoming Game Boy Advance game, Broken Sword: Shadow of Templars, will be published worldwide by Bam Entertainment. The game is essentially a port of the original Shadow of Templars, which was released in 1997 for the Sony PlayStation and the PC platforms. The game follows the adventures of George Stobbard and Nico, who must team up to thwart the final cataclysmic climax of a conspiracy that has run for many centuries.

"Bam's ambition impressed us enormously," said Charles Cecil, managing director of Revolution Software. "Its plans for Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars on the GBA are hugely impressive, and, most importantly, it has an understanding of the heritage. We had huge interest from a number of publishers about working with us on this version on the Game Boy Advance, but at the end of the day, Bam Entertainment proved the most exciting."

Broken Sword: Shadow of Templars will be released for the Game Boy Advance in Q1 2001. Revolution Software is also developing a new adventure in the Broken Sword series. Titled The Sleeping Dragon, the game will be released for the Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, and PC platforms.
