Though it has been suspected for quite some time, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is officially coming to the Xbox. In his company's Q4 operating results report, Interplay CEO and president Herve Caen stated that the company expects to have an excellent lineup of games for 2002, including the Xbox version of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the PlayStation 2 has sold more than 500,000 units worldwide. In the game, players can select from three different types of characters: a human ranger, an elven sorceress, and a dwarf. Each of these characters has his or her own unique advantages and disadvantages when placed in certain types of situations. Unfortunately, there are no details available on any possible additions to the Xbox version of the game.

We'll have more on Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Xbox soon.
