Avengers: Infinity War Might Have Spoiled A Major Cameo In Its Super Bowl Trailer
"It's all been leading to this."
There is plenty to get excited about from the Avengers: Infinity War teaser that debuted during the Super Bowl. Whether it's Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) fancy new suit, Captain America's (Chris Evans) new Nomad look, or Thor (Chris Hemsworth) hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy, the short 30-second TV spot was packed with interesting little nuggets about the upcoming film.
However, the most important piece of the puzzle may have been someone Marvel Studios was trying to keep hidden. Some Marvel Cinematic Universe fans believe they have spotted a massive spoiler in one of the shots. When Nomad, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Vision (Paul Bettany) are seen talking down a hall, a figure that looks a lot like Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) can be seen standing behind them.
While whoever is standing directly behind Nomad is mostly covered, the colors of Captain Marvel's traditional suit--red, blue, and gold--can be clearly seen, along with a cape. It took almost no time for fans to point the moment out on Twitter.

Interestingly, the suit is different from what's been spotted on the set of Captain Marvel, which is currently in production. In the photos, Larson is wearing a green suit that points to the movie's connection to the Kree alien race. Given that a version of the suit in its traditional color scheme was shown as concept art at San Diego Comic-Con, though, the odds are that she'll end up with her classic look by the end of the standalone movie.
The question now, though, is whether she'll show up before that. Given the massive threat that is Thanos (Josh Brolin), the Avengers could surely use Captain Marvel's helping hand. Luckily, you won't have to wait long. Avengers: Infinity War is out May 4.
