Avengers: Infinity War has set another box office record. After posting the biggest-ever opening weekend, the movie has now crossed $1 billion globally. The movie opened on April 25 in overseas markets and launched in the UK on April 26, the US on April 27, and in Russia on May 3. It crossed $1 billion on Saturday, becoming the fastest in film history to make the mark.

In total, Infinity War has now made $1.16 billion worldwide to date, according to GameSpot sister site CNET. The movie opens in China--the second-biggest movie market on the planet--on May 11, so box office results only stand to improve further still.

Infinity War is now the 34th movie ever to pass $1 billion, joining the likes of Avatar, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Frozen, Skyfall, and Minions.

In the US and Canada, Infinity War is expected to make $112.5 million this weekend, according to a box office report from Entertainment Weekly. That would firmly place it again in the No. 1 spot, but it would fall short of second-weekend record-holder Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which made $149.2 million during its second weekend.

The $112.5 million that Infinity War is expected to make this weekend represents a dropoff of 56 percent from its opening weekend. That decline is significantly more than The Force Awakens (40 percent) and Black Panther (45 percent).

Rounding out the top five films domestically this weekend included Overboard ($14.8 million), A Quiet Place ($7.6 million), I Feel Pretty ($4.9 million), and Rampage ($4.6 million). You can see the full Top 10 list below, as rounded up and compiled by EW.
