Nintendo seems set on painting the world pink. Gamers in Japan and the US can already think pink when it comes to the Nintendo DS Lite, and consumers in Europe will be able to pick up the new color of DS Lite later this month.

Now Nintendo has announced that the pink Nintendo DS Lite will be available in Australia starting November 2. The new model of the system will retail for A$199.95 (about $150), the same price as the existing white and black DS Lite systems in Australia. The pink DS launch date coincides with the local release of the next game in Nintendo's popular puppy simulating franchise--Nintendogs Dalmatian and Friends.

Nintendo Australia has also updated its local release schedule for DS games leading into Christmas. Upcoming releases for the Nintendo DS include Clubhouse Games and Mario Hoops 3-on-3 on October 26, Yoshi's Island DS on November 23, Children of Mana on November 30, and Pokémon Ranger on December 7.
