Lots of people are finishing the fight, apparently.

Halo 3 was one of the most anticipated games of this year, so it comes as no surprise that it made it to number one in the overall Australian game charts during the week of September 24-30, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

FIFA Soccer 2008 also had a strong debut, taking out three spots in the overall top 10. The PlayStation 2 version of the game ranked the best out of the three, taking out second place. However, of the two next-generation console versions, FIFA Soccer 08 for the PlayStation 3 came out on top in fourth position, whereas the Xbox 360 edition took out the sixth spot. The previous week's chart topper--Super Paper Mario--fell four spots to number five. Heavenly Sword wrapped up the week by taking 10th place.

In the PC charts, The Sims 2: Bon Voyage climbed up to number one and knocked World in Conflict down into the second position.
