Aussie game charts: November 5-11

Big new releases dominate the charts.

The week has seen an abundance of new games debut in the overall Australian game charts. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the Xbox 360 took out the coveted number-one position according to data trackers GfK Australia. The PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare took out seventh and eighth, respectively.

The Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle for the PlayStation 2 featured in second place for the first time, whereas the Xbox 360 version took out third spot. Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree (which comes bundled with a Wii Remote) grabbed fourth place. Nintendo's other big release for the Wii last week, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, finished off the week at number 10.

In other chart news, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron moved up to number one on the PSP chart.
