Aussie game charts: May 21-May 27

Jack Sparrow and his pirate pals claim the charts down under.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End for the PlayStation 2 has jumped straight to number one in Australia's overall top 10 game sales charts. The latest adventures of Jack Sparrow finished off God of War II's three-week chart reign at the top and also featured prominently in the Wii, Xbox 360, and PSP-specific charts.

Sony dominated the charts for the week of May 21 to May 27, with six out of the top 10 games appearing on a Sony console--five of which are published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Buzz!: The Mega Quiz had two entries--the stand-alone game debuted at number two and the bundled edition (which includes buzzers) landed at number seven. Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars continues to sell strongly, with the Xbox 360 version of the game coming in at third spot, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

The Nintendo DS had a successful week with Animal Crossing: Wild World taking out fourth spot, Diddy Kong Racing DS in fifth, and Mario Kart DS finishing in 10th position.
