Aussie game charts: May 14-May 20

God of War II continues its winning streak Down Under.

God of War II for the PlayStation 2 has taken out the top spot in the Australian game sales charts for the third week in a row, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

Kratos' latest bloody trip through Greek mythology was strong enough to hold off stiff competition from Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, which has taken out both second and fourth spot. The recently released Xbox 360 version narrowly beat the PC version, to come in at second. Last week's release of the Halo 3 Beta seems to have helped sales of 360 actioner Crackdown, which came in at number 10 overall for the week of May 14 to May 20.

In the other charts, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops had a strong debut, securing number one position on the PSP-specific list. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess continues to rule with an iron fist, taking out another week at the top of the Wii charts.
