Aussie game charts: June 7-14

Australia's fascination with The Sims 3 continues.

The Sims 3's excellent sales run in Australia has continued, with the game spending its second consecutive week at the top of the overall game charts, according to data trackers GfK Australia. Wii Fit remains in the second place for the week of June 7-14.

The Xbox 360 version of Prototype did a pretty decent job of cracking the third spot during its first week of sales. Sony's own open-world adventure, Infamous, dropped down one spot last week to the fourth, just above Wii Play at number five. The PlayStation 3 version of Prototype also managed to crack the top 10, but fared a little worse than its Xbox 360 cousin, in the sixth place. EA Sports Active continues to lose momentum each week, this time slipping down into number seven. Eighth place goes to Pokemon Platinum for the Nintendo DS, while chart regular Mario Kart Wii narrowly made it into the chart at number nine. Finally, we have Rhythm Heaven on the Nintendo DS, which took out the 10th spot.
