Aussie game charts: July 22-July 29

Mario Party 8 claims the top spot.

Mario Party 8 has taken out the top spot in the Australian game charts according to data trackers GfK. It has managed to climb up from fourth position the previous week.

Following up from their successful chart cleanup last week, Nintendo has again taken out over half of the top 10 spots for the week of July 22-29. Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl for the Nintendo DS have been reunited in the overall charts once more, with Diamond in fifth spot and Pearl in eighth. The three remaining spots that weren't on a Nintendo platform were taken by PlayStation 2 games, the SingStar Pop Hits bundle being the highest at number two.

In other charts news, World of Warcraft has again made it to number one on the PC charts, followed up in second position by World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Oddly enough, the first seven games in the Wii charts remain unmoved from the previous week.
