SingStar '90s for the PlayStation 2 has taken the top position in the Australian game sales charts for the week of August 6 to August 12, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

Mario Party 8 for the Wii fell down a spot to second from its first placing last week, and was followed by Pokemon Diamond in third. The popular PS2 music game--Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s--fell three spots to number five from the previous week while Transformers: The Game on PS2 narrowly scrapped in at number 10.

In other charts news, PC gaming continues to be dominated by Blizzard's World of Warcraft, with the original in first spot and the expansion pack--World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade--at number two. Five of the remaining positions in the PC charts are taken up by The Sims 2 and its various expansion packs.
