Aussie Emulation Mash-Up August 26

Capcom has unleashed its latest HD remix this week with Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network Store. Aside from the graphical updates, two of the most exciting additions include competitive online play and the ability for players to upload their fights onto YouTube. Those who preordered the game via Sony's PSN Play program will also be able to unlock Gill straight off the bat, as one of the program's incentives.

The other game to be shared between both XBLA and the PSN Store this week is Crazy Machines: Elements, the second game in the mechanical puzzle series. This latest title boasts more than 200 puzzles for people to wrap their minds around and gets players to solve each level using various pieces of machinery.

If you're looking for another excuse to use your Kinect, then maybe Hole in the Wall is the reason to dust it off. It's based on the TV show of the same name and is pretty basic. It has you twisting your body to fit through odd-shaped holes in a wall--think human Tetris.

As for WiiWare, this week sees the long-awaited release of Aya and the Cubes of Light. Developed by Object Vision Software, Aya and the Cubes of Light follows in the footsteps of Crush, in that it's a 3D platformer that has the player navigating a giant cube, spinning it around, and going upside down. Gravity also plays into it, so timing is important.
