Halo: Reach marks the fifth and final game in the franchise to be developed by legendary developer Bungie, which spawned the series over a decade ago. Chronologically, Reach is actually a prequel to the first game and follows a group of Spartan warriors who make their final stance in an attempt to stop the Covenant from reaching Earth. Of course, there are also the multiplayer offerings that the series has become so popular for, which bring new modes to the table as well as let users customise the settings in Firefight. Halo: Reach will be released around Australia tomorrow, with select retailers around the country opening at midnight tonight for keen punters.

This week also sees Sony's latest foray into motion-controlled gaming hit store shelves in the form of PlayStation Move. In conjunction with the PlayStation Eye camera, the Move offers consumers a Wii-like experience on the PlayStation 3. Sony will be launching four games alongside the device on Thursday--Start the Party, Sports Champions, Kung Fu Rider, and Eye Pet: Move Edition--as well as a variety of accessories. A standard Move controller will set you back A$69.95 ($65), or you can get it with a copy of Start the Party for A$99.95 ($93) in the Starter Pack. The sub-controller goes for A$49.95 ($46), and for those who like to keep things organised, a charging dock is also available for the same price. At the moment, there are a handful of games out that support Move, with more expected to arrive in the following weeks.
