AU Shippin' Out October 26-30: DJ Hero

Go Around the World in DJ Hero.

Comments

The music game genre has predominantly been rock-centric...until now, thanks to the soon-to-be-launched DJ Hero. Unlike Rock Band or Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero is much more of a solo experience; however, it does allow someone with a GH5 guitar to jump in and play the guitar sections of only a handful of the game's 100 tracks. It also features a face-off competitive multiplayer mode, but someone looking for a group-friendly game should look elsewhere. Some of the music industry's biggest rap, hip-hop, and electro players have tracks in the game, with Daft Punk, Jay-Z, and Paul Van Dyk all being included. When it launches on Wednesday, the standard edition of DJ Hero, which comes with a copy of the game and a deck, will cost A$179.85, while the Renegade Edition (which has now been pushed back to next week) is a bit pricier at A$299.95 and includes a bonus stand for your deck, a limited-edition DJ deck, a copy of the game, and a two-disc CD featuring unreleased tracks from Jay-Z and Eminem.

Following Bethesda's lead of releasing a stand-alone disc containing downloadable content packs, RockStar Games is slated to bring out Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City featuring: The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. The Lost and Damned revolves around the Lost biker gang and its war with other gangs, while the Ballad of Gay Tony looks at Liberty City's high-flyers and how nightclub baron Gay Tony is battling to hold onto his empire. Expect to see Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City out on Thursday.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is about to enter the field to take on FIFA Soccer 10 when it comes out on Friday. Players will be pleased to hear that both EUFA leagues will make an appearance in the game for the first time, as well as a refined control scheme, and more. Stay tuned to GameSpot for a Pro Evolution Soccer 10 review soon.
