AU Shippin' Out March 23-27: Madworld
Impale, decapitate, and stab enemies on Nintendo's family-friendly platform this week.
At one point Madworld was tipped to be the next game to feel the wrath of the Classification Board's ban hammer, but the game defied the odds and scored itself the maximum MA15+ rating. Following the blood-sports contestant Jack Cayman on his path to freedom, you'll be slicing, dicing, impaling, stabbing, mutilating, and more to get through hordes of enemies in this stylised action game. Judging by the "Strong Bloody Violence" warning on the box, this game is not for the squeamish. Expect to see Madworld on sale this Thursday.
Resistance comes to the PSP this week thanks to Studio Bend's Resistance: Retribution. In it, you assume the role of disgruntled British soldier James Greyson, who has been spared the firing squad and forced to join the Maquis, an underground resistance group, to help take out the main Chimeran tower in Paris. On top of the single-player gameplay, you'll also be able to take your PSP online and play against seven other people in five different modes, ranging from your standard Deathmatch to Territory Control, and an Attrition mode in which you have to convert enemies by killing them. Resistance: Retribution is out on Thursday as a stand-alone or bundled with the PSP-3000 for A$319.95.
