AU Shippin' Out January 18-22: Dark Void
Capcom's latest IP has no competition in this week's releases Down Under.
It's extremely slim pickings this week for new games in Australia, with only one title making a debut. The Bermuda Triangle has always been a convenient location for a science-fiction plot, and the mysterious area serves as the catalyst for sending Dark Void's protagonist, William Augustus Grey, into an alternate universe where humans are fighting for their survival. Thankfully, scientist Nikola Tesla, who also ended up in the parallel universe, arms Grey with a jetpack, which makes swapping between ground and air combat the big mechanic of the game. Dark Void is being published by Capcom and will be out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this Thursday.
Stay tuned to AU Shippin' Out, as the next few weeks hold some pretty big releases, including Mass Effect 2, Dante’s Inferno, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.
